Version 3.1 · Effective 15 October 2026
AI coaches and public welcome message
FizzUp's language-learning coaches Malcolm, Sophie, Theo and Emma are AI systems, not human tutors. Their portraits are AI-generated illustrations. The welcome voice message on the Programme website is an AI-generated or AI-synthesised voice performance and is labelled accordingly; English subtitles are available. Neither the illustrations nor the voice recording represent a real individual making the statements.
AI in the Programme
Google Gemini may assist with screening public ideas for spam or apparent personal data, generating machine translations, grouping similar suggestions or producing advisory product analysis. AI output may be wrong, incomplete or biased. People decide consequential moderation outcomes, challenge judgments and roadmap status. Users may flag translation errors, unsafe content or moderation mistakes at support@fizzup.ai.
AI in the App
Separate in-App notices explain that voice and chat data may be transmitted to Google service infrastructure to deliver a conversation. The App should ask for any permission required by the app store rules and applicable law before transmitting personal data to third-party AI. The browser Programme does not activate private conversation analysis by default. FizzUp does not represent AI dialogue as medical, mental-health, legal or other professional advice.
Training and improvements
FizzUp improves coach instructions, tests, lesson content and dialogue scenarios after review; this is not the same as training a foundation model on Members' private messages. We do not claim third-party systems have zero retention or remain in the EU unless verified for the specific paid service and model version. Additional private conversation quality-improvement analysis is off at launch and must be activated separately with appropriate notice, assessment and permission.
